The PF400-DD12 is a DC/DC converter that converts a DC voltage from 72V to 12V DC voltage and can deliver a direct current of up to 30A.
Converter from 72 to 12 Volt
The 360W converter has a wide input range of 40V – 87V DC. The output voltage is adjustable on the front side between 0V and 18V and the current between 0 and 30A. This makes the converter suitable for many purposes.
The maximum output power is 540W, but this depends on the input voltage. See the datasheet for more information.
Safety
The converter is short-circuit proof and protected against overloading, overvoltage and overheating. If one of these situations occurs, the converter will shut down. As soon as the situation returns to normal, the converter switches back on.
This 12V converter also provides galvanic separation between the input and output.
Adjustable current source 0-30A
In addition to being an adjustable voltage source, this converter can also be used as an adjustable current source. The PF400-DD12 has a strict current limitation, so the maximum current can be set exactly using an ammeter. This also allows it to be used as a battery charger or an LED driver with DC input.
Applications
Converters are applied in situations where a DC voltage of a certain value needs to be brought to a higher or lower value. It is also suitable for turning an unstable voltage into a fixed stable voltage.
